"Connecting China and Morocco, Gaining Together Through Synergy": APECCM Founding Ceremony and Business Forum Concludes Successfully

On November 25 (11/25) local time, the founding ceremony of the Association for the Economic and Cultural Promotion of Chinese Overseas in Morocco (APECCM) and the China-Morocco business forum were held in Casablanca. Cai Xinran, representative of the Foreign Affairs Office and the Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries of Heilongjiang Province; Sun Liangpu, Vice President of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese of Heilongjiang Province; Shi Jinda, council member of the Heilongjiang Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China, and business representatives; Nabil Hourmatala, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Casablanca-Settat; Khalil Mohamed, President of the Morocco-China Friendship and Exchange Association; Taib Aïssa, President of the Amal Business Association; Yan Qinxing, President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Morocco; Li Yong, President of the Moroccan Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China; Deng Zhongyuan, Executive Deputy General Manager of the Morocco production base of CNGR, as well as Chinese and Moroccan entrepreneurs, members of the Chinese overseas community and guests from all walks of life gathered together to witness the birth of the Association, to discuss the major plans for economic and trade cooperation, and to share their vision of cultural integration.

At the founding ceremony, the newly elected President Zhang Yashan delivered a speech, expressing his gratitude to the delegation from the Foreign Affairs Office of Heilongjiang Province for traveling from afar to unveil the plaque and present the certificate for the Association. He stated that the Association would take "serving overseas compatriots, connecting China and Morocco, and promoting shared development" as its core, and would build a sound bridge for China-Morocco economic and trade cooperation and friendly exchanges.

In her speech, Cai Xinran, representative of the Foreign Affairs Office and the Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries of Heilongjiang Province, congratulated the Association on its founding, presented the feasibility of complementing Heilongjiang Province's advantages in resources and technology with Morocco's geographical advantages to achieve win-win cooperation, and expressed the hope that the Association would give play to its own strengths and actively promote in-depth economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges between Heilongjiang Province and Morocco. Khalil Mohamed, President of the Morocco-China Friendship and Exchange Association, offered warm congratulations on the founding of the Association in his speech, and expressed his willingness to work with the Association, building on Morocco's geographical advantage of connecting Europe and Africa, to build a bridge for matching Chinese and Moroccan enterprises. Sun Liangpu, Vice President of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese of Heilongjiang Province, congratulated the Association on its founding in his speech, and expressed the hope that the Association would unite the local Chinese overseas community and contribute to economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges between their hometown and Morocco. Taib Aïssa, President of the Amal Business Association, said in his speech that Morocco has the geographical advantage of connecting Europe, the Americas and Africa, that Morocco-China relations are currently enjoying a sound momentum of development, that Chinese enterprises are welcome to invest in Morocco, and that he is willing to work with the Association to provide good services.

Afterwards, Ms. Cai Xinran and President Khalil jointly unveiled the plaque for the Association, witnessing together the founding of the Association; on behalf of the Foreign Affairs Office and the Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries of Heilongjiang Province, Ms. Cai Xinran awarded President Zhang Yashan the overseas council member certificate.

During the business forum session, Chinese and Moroccan business representatives explored feasible paths for market expansion, technical cooperation and complementarity of resources. At the meeting, the Association signed a cooperation agreement with the Moroccan Plastics Industry Association. The guests agreed that China and Morocco have enormous cooperation potential in fields such as green energy and high-end manufacturing, and that the founding of the Association will help ease problems such as information asymmetry and scattered resources, providing support for precise matching between enterprises of both sides.

The holding of the APECCM founding ceremony and business forum marks that the Chinese overseas community in Morocco now has a more cohesive organizational platform, and also builds a new bridge for China-Morocco economic, trade and cultural exchanges. In the future, the Association will rely on the mechanism of "government guidance, overseas community promotion and market operation" to integrate the resources of both countries and carry out a series of activities such as economic and trade delegations, project matching, cultural performances and services for overseas compatriots, helping Chinese and Moroccan enterprises deepen cooperation in fields such as new energy, green manufacturing and cultural tourism.
