On 25/11/2025, the founding ceremony of the Association for the Economic and Cultural Promotion of Chinese Overseas in Morocco (APECCM) and the China-Morocco Business Forum were held in Casablanca. Representatives of the Heilongjiang Provincial Foreign Affairs Office and the Heilongjiang Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Heilongjiang Returned Overseas Chinese Federation, and the Heilongjiang Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China; representatives of the Casablanca-Settat Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, the Morocco-China Friendship and Exchange Association, the Amal Business Association, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Morocco, and the Moroccan Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China; representatives of Chinese-funded enterprises; and entrepreneurs from China and Morocco, overseas Chinese and ethnic Chinese, and guests from all walks of life gathered together to witness the birth of the Association.

At the founding ceremony, newly elected President Zhang Yashan delivered a speech. He expressed gratitude to the representatives from China who had traveled from afar to unveil the plaque and confer titles for the Association, and stated that the Association would take "serving overseas Chinese compatriots, connecting China and Morocco, and promoting shared development" as its core, building a bridge for China-Morocco economic and trade cooperation and friendly exchanges. Subsequently, representatives of all participating parties spoke one after another, congratulating the Association on its founding and expressing their willingness to cooperate around Morocco's geographical advantage as a link between Europe and Africa, as well as China-Morocco business matchmaking and two-way investment.

During the ceremonial segment, representatives from China and Moroccan guests jointly unveiled the plaque for the Association and awarded President Zhang Yashan the Overseas Council Member Certificate. At the business forum, representatives of Chinese and Moroccan enterprises explored feasible paths for market expansion, technical cooperation, and resource complementarity; the Association signed a cooperation agreement with the Moroccan Plastics Industry Association. Guests unanimously agreed that China and Morocco have enormous cooperation potential in fields such as green energy and high-end manufacturing, and that the founding of the Association will help mitigate problems such as information asymmetry and resource dispersion, providing support for precise matchmaking between enterprises of both sides.
