Shining at an International Event! APECCM Attends the 7th Meknès International Tourism Forum, Boosting China-Morocco Cultural and Tourism Exchanges

On 09/10/2026, the 7th Meknès International Tourism Forum (FITAM) grandly opened in the Moroccan imperial city of Meknès. This forum brought together cultural and tourism officials and industry representatives from multiple countries to explore new directions for international cultural and tourism cooperation and heritage tourism development.

Zhang Yashan, President of the Association for the Economic and Cultural Promotion of Chinese Overseas in Morocco (APECCM), was invited to attend the forum and appeared at the venue with two travel agencies, actively participating in China-Morocco cultural and tourism promotion and exchanges.

During the event, the China Cultural Center in Rabat set up a "Nihao! China" themed booth, showcasing China's cultural and tourism resources and the charm of Eastern culture, becoming a highlight exhibition area of the forum.

Our exhibitors introduced in detail to guests from various countries the quality bilateral tourism routes between China and Morocco, cross-border cultural and tourism products, and distinctive travel services. They actively promoted China's cultural and tourism resources, demonstrated the advantages of China-Morocco bilateral tourism cooperation, and received wide recognition on site.

Yu Jinsong, Chinese Ambassador to Morocco, visited the "Nihao! China" booth to inspect and guide, showing concern for the development of cultural and tourism undertakings of overseas Chinese, and had a friendly group photo with President Zhang Yashan in front of the booth, witnessing a precious moment of China-Morocco people-to-people friendly exchanges.

This participation further broadened the Association's external exchange channels and deepened China-Morocco cultural and tourism interactions. In the future, APECCM will continue to play its role as a bridge and bond, using culture and tourism as a medium and exchanges to gather strength, continuously promoting in-depth economic, trade and cultural connectivity and mutual benefit between China and Morocco.
