Happy Childhood, China-Morocco Connected | 'May Caravan' Warmly Visits Bouskoura Primary School, Jointly Building Cross-Border Children's Friendship

To build a bridge of friendship between Chinese and Moroccan children and convey warmth and cultural care, on the afternoon of May 23, 2026, the 'Happy Childhood, China-Morocco Connected' May Caravan public welfare event was held at the teaching site of the Institut Confucius at Bouskoura Primary School.

APECCM provided assistance throughout the event. APECCM President Zhang Yashan attended and delivered a speech; Vice President Peng Xue and Board Member Chen Qilin were present, joining representatives of the Institut Confucius and the teachers and students of Bouskoura Primary School to gather together, using childlike interaction as a bond to let China-Morocco friendship take root and sprout in children's hearts.

In his speech, President Zhang Yashan said that children are the future and hope of China-Morocco friendship. This caravan event uses childhood as a bond and culture as a bridge, enabling children of the two countries to meet and know each other across mountains and seas; it is both a transmission of charitable love and a vivid continuation of China-Morocco people-to-people friendship. APECCM will continue to deepen its work in public welfare and cultural exchange, helping Chinese and Moroccan youth know and grow close to each other and grow up hand in hand. The Moroccan director of the Institut Confucius also congratulated the successful holding of the event in his speech and sent blessings and expectations to the children.

During the fun interactive session, the children immersed themselves in classic Chinese childhood games, drawing closer to each other amid laughter and experiencing the unique charm of traditional Chinese children's pastimes.

The transnational letter exchange session was full of warmth. The children on site carefully read letters from their Chinese friends; the childlike handwriting, cute selfies, and hand-drawn Chinese landscapes let everyone truly feel the sincerity and enthusiasm of friends afar. Under the guidance of their teachers, the Moroccan children picked up their pens to reply, earnestly writing self-introductions and carefully depicting scenery characteristic of Morocco. Every child who participated in the letter exchange received a beautiful small gift.

In the 'Painting the China-Morocco Friendship Tree' session, the children gently pressed their fingerprints onto a tree-shaped canvas, turning them into vibrant green leaves, and solemnly wrote their names. This friendship tree, full of childlike blessings, will later be sent to a Chinese primary school, where Chinese friends will continue to add branches and leaves. At the gift-giving ceremony, charitable sponsor guests presented carefully prepared schoolbags to the children, delivering care and warmth into the hands of every child.

At the end of the event, all guests, teachers, and children took a group photo as a memento. This 'Happy Childhood, China-Morocco Connected' May Caravan event not only brought joy and warmth to the children of Bouskoura Primary School, but also planted in the children's hearts the seeds of China-Morocco cultural integration and people-to-people friendship.
