On May 6 local time in Morocco, the "Fresh Fujian" Culture and Tourism Promotion Conference and the "Tea and the World · Fujian-Style Life" salon were held in Rabat, Morocco. The event was jointly organized by the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the China Cultural Center in Rabat. Zhang Yashan, President of APECCM, attended upon invitation, joining Chinese and Moroccan cultural and tourism guests to renew Maritime Silk Road friendship and jointly promote cultural and tourism cooperation.

This year marks the 680th anniversary of Moroccan traveler Ibn Battûta's visit to Quanzhou. The event became an important opportunity to continue the millennia-old China-Morocco Maritime Silk Road friendship and deepen cultural and tourism exchanges between the two places. At the event, Fujian's cultural and tourism resources were showcased, with intangible cultural heritage performances, tea art demonstrations, and cultural and tourism promotions presented in succession. Traditional Chinese culture such as Quanzhou string puppets and Wuyi rock tea techniques allowed guests to immerse themselves in the charm of Fujian culture.

During the exchange, President Zhang Yashan said that Fujian, as the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road, has deep potential for cultural and tourism cooperation with Morocco. APECCM has always played its role as a bridge and bond within the overseas Chinese community, deepening China-Morocco people-to-people exchanges and practical cooperation. In the future, APECCM will take this event as an opportunity to continue building a platform for cultural and tourism exchanges between the two places, promote Fujian's culture and tourism, tea culture, and intangible cultural heritage in North Africa, and help mutual learning between Chinese and Moroccan cultures and people-to-people connectivity.

With tea as the medium and culture as the bond, this event not only made Fujian-style charm shine in North Africa, but also opened new paths for China-Morocco cultural and tourism cooperation, allowing the millennia-old Maritime Silk Road friendship to continue to shine in the new era.
