In order to deepen Sino-Moroccan people-to-people friendly exchanges and expand diverse spaces for cooperation, on April 7, 2026, a delegation led by Jamal Tazi, President of the Ismaïlia Association of Meknès in Morocco, visited the APECCM to carry out in-depth exchanges and discussions and to inspect member enterprises of APECCM. Relevant members of APECCM warmly received the delegation; the two sides held candid dialogue on topics including economy and trade, new energy, automobiles, culture, tourism, and agriculture, and reached multiple cooperation consensuses.

At the symposium, Zhang Yashan, President of APECCM, first expressed a warm welcome to the delegation and gave a detailed introduction to APECCM's development history, core functions, and service achievements. He said that, as the core bond of the Chinese community in Morocco, APECCM has always taken 'serving overseas Chinese compatriots, building bridges, and promoting exchanges' as its mission, working deeply in fields such as Sino-Moroccan economic and trade matchmaking, cultural mutual learning, educational cooperation, and protection of the rights and interests of overseas Chinese compatriots, building a development platform for Chinese enterprises and individuals in Morocco, and injecting sustained momentum into Sino-Moroccan people-to-people cooperation.

Discussion between both sides.

Representatives of the Ismaïlia Association of Meknès expressed their thanks to APECCM for its warm reception, highly praised the important role APECCM plays in promoting Sino-Moroccan people-to-people exchanges, and introduced the Association's development positioning, service groups, and core activities. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on the industrial resources, investment opportunities, and cultural characteristics of the Meknès region, and explored the feasibility and implementation paths of long-term cooperation in multiple directions, including agricultural cooperation, cultural and tourism promotion, youth exchanges, and community mutual assistance.

The two sides agreed that Meknès, as a renowned historical and cultural city and an important commercial hub of Morocco, has enormous cooperation potential with China in fields such as economy and trade, culture, and education; the in-depth collaboration between APECCM and the Ismaïlia Association will build a broader communication platform for the governments, enterprises, and people of the two places, helping to further warm Sino-Moroccan people-to-people friendly relations.

This exchange and discussion not only deepened mutual trust and friendship between the two sides, but also laid a solid foundation for subsequent practical cooperation. Going forward, APECCM will take this discussion as an opportunity to continue deepening exchanges and cooperation with local Moroccan social organizations and to continuously expand the breadth and depth of Sino-Moroccan people-to-people cooperation.
