On 12/02/2026, as the Chinese Lunar New Year and Ramadan in Morocco approached one after the other, the Centre culturel chinois de Rabat, together with the Meknès unit of the équipe médicale chinoise d'assistance au Maroc and the Association de promotion économique et culturelle des Chinois d'outre-mer au Maroc (APECCM), jointly visited the centre social d'accueil des enfants en situation de handicap mental de Meknès, bringing festive warmth, caring supplies and Chinese cultural care to the children with intellectual disabilities at the centre, and continuing the chapter of China-Morocco people-to-people friendship through charitable action.

After the delegation arrived, the director of the centre introduced in detail the daily care, rehabilitation support and development of the children with intellectual disabilities, and led the delegation on a visit to the centre's facilities. During the interactive session, staff of the Centre culturel chinois de Rabat guided the children in hand-painting rattle drums with Chinese Peking Opera masks, letting them experience the fun of traditional Chinese art through colorful creation; doctors Zhang Wei and Gao Hongxiang from the Meknès unit of the équipe médicale chinoise d'assistance au Maroc provided free medical consultations for the children on site; Chen Chaochen, Vice-President and Secretary-General of APECCM and a calligrapher and painter based in Morocco, wrote exclusive Chinese names for the children, his brushstrokes full of blessings.

Afterwards, members of the delegation distributed schoolbags, stationery and other school supplies, as well as carefully prepared Chinese specialty snacks, to the children. The children who received the gifts jumped for joy, and innocent cheers rang out on site; some children, excited, sang the Moroccan national anthem, and even took the initiative to hug the delegation members tightly, conveying emotion and gratitude with the simplest actions, a moment of tenderness filling the entire centre.

This visit coincided with the convergence of the Chinese and Moroccan festivals; it was not only a charitable assistance but also a cultural exchange, and moreover a vivid practice of people-to-people connectivity between China and Morocco. The participating parties used overseas Chinese as a bridge, culture to edify, and love to warm hearts, bringing China's care to children in a foreign land, and making China-Morocco friendship ever deeper in children's innocence and tenderness. In the future, the Centre culturel chinois de Rabat will continue to carry out charitable and cultural exchange activities, injecting more warm strength into friendly exchanges between China and Morocco.
