China-Morocco Friendship Warms Children's Hearts: Chinese New Year and Ramadan Share Warmth — Overseas Chinese Association and Chinese Institutions Visit the Centre d'accueil social des enfants en situation de handicap de Meknès, Morocco

On 12 February 2026, as the Chinese Lunar New Year and Ramadan in Morocco arrived in succession, APECCM, together with the Centre culturel chinois de Rabat and the détachement de Meknès de la mission médicale chinoise au Maroc, jointly paid a caring visit to the centre d'accueil social des enfants en situation de handicap de Meknès, bringing the children festive warmth, donated supplies and care inspired by Chinese culture, and continuing the chapter of China-Morocco people-to-people friendship through charitable action.

After the delegation arrived, the director of the care centre gave everyone a detailed introduction to the children's daily care, rehabilitation support and development, and led the delegation on a site visit to the facility. In a warm interactive session, teachers from the Centre culturel chinois de Rabat guided the children in hand-painting hand drums decorated with Chinese Peking opera masks, allowing them to experience the fun of traditional Chinese art through colour creation; Chen Chaochen, vice-president and secretary-general of the Association, a calligrapher and painter from the Chinese community in Morocco, wrote personalised Chinese names for the children on site, with blessings filling every brushstroke.

Afterwards, members of the delegation distributed schoolbags, stationery and other school supplies, as well as carefully prepared Chinese speciality snacks, to the children. The children cheered with joy upon receiving the gifts, and some excitedly hugged the delegation members tightly, conveying their emotion and gratitude through the simplest gestures, filling the entire care centre with warmth.

This visit coincided with the convergence of the two Chinese and Moroccan festivals; it was not only an act of compassionate assistance but also a cultural exchange and a vivid practice of people-to-people connectivity between China and Morocco. The visit received active donation support from members of APECCM, including Association d'amitié Maroc-Chine, Shengyuan Produits en plastique, Xiaochuniang Raviolis du Nord-Est, CATHAY, HISEAS AFRICA, TZ INTERNATIONAL, Jincheng Sécurité, Yike Publicité, Qingdao 001 Ingénierie, CAP Éducation internationale and Koi Cafe. In the future, all parties will continue to carry out charitable and cultural exchange activities, injecting more warm strength into China-Morocco friendly exchanges.
