Tsinghua Xingjian College Practice Delegation Visits APECCM to Promote Friendly Exchanges Between Chinese and Moroccan Youth

Recently, the “Morocco, Bound for the Future” practice delegation from Xingjian College, Tsinghua University visited APECCM, the Association for the Economic and Cultural Promotion of Chinese Overseas in Morocco. The two sides held a discussion and exchange and conducted in-depth exchanges of views on topics such as China-Morocco youth interaction, educational and cultural connectivity, and non-governmental economic and trade cooperation.

Xingjian College of Tsinghua University is one of the five colleges under the university's Strong Foundation Plan. It was officially established in 2020, relies on the Theoretical and Applied Mechanics major, implements a dual bachelor's degree program integrating science and engineering, and cultivates top innovative talents for key national fields such as aerospace and advanced manufacturing. The college attaches great importance to social practice and the cultivation of an international perspective. This “Morocco, Bound for the Future” is an overseas practice and research project organized by the college.

At the discussion, APECCM introduced to the practice delegation Morocco's local industrial development and the development of the overseas Chinese community, and shared first-hand practical experience in China-Morocco economic, trade and cultural exchanges. The teachers and students of the delegation introduced the goals and tasks of this overseas practice and research, hoping to observe Morocco's social landscape on the ground, build bridges for youth communication, and enhance mutual understanding between the young people of the two countries.

Participants unanimously stated that young people are a vital force in people-to-people friendly exchanges between China and other countries. In the future, it is necessary to continue broadening exchange channels, give play to the advantages of the overseas Chinese affairs platform, tell China-Morocco cooperation stories well from the perspective of young people, and continuously consolidate the popular foundation for China-Morocco people-to-people exchanges.
