APECCM President Zhang Yashan and His Delegation Undertake an Exchange and Study Visit in Meknès

To deepen economic, trade and cultural connectivity between China and Morocco and broaden multi-dimensional cooperation channels in agriculture, tourism and commerce, on April 22, at the invitation of the Ismaïlia Association of Meknès, Zhang Yashan, President of APECCM, led a delegation of four people to the city of Meknès for an exchange and study visit, and was invited to attend the local international agricultural exhibition.

During the visit, the delegation toured the international agricultural exhibition on site, gaining an in-depth understanding of the development model of the local distinctive agricultural industry, its advantageous agricultural resources and the current state of modern agricultural technology, connecting with industry resources up close and building a bridge of communication for agricultural cooperation between the two places.

Subsequently, the two sides held a friendly discussion and exchange meeting, conducting in-depth consultations on a number of key cooperation matters, focusing on the preparation and coordination of the October Meknès International Tourism Exhibition and a joint economic, trade and cultural study visit to the three northeastern provinces of China. Both sides unanimously stated that they will fully rely on their respective resource advantages, geographical advantages and industry influence to promote commerce through agriculture, gather strength through culture and build bridges through tourism, comprehensively advancing deep integration and regular interaction in agriculture, commerce and trade, cultural exchange, the tourism industry and other fields.

After full communication and negotiation, the two associations reached a consensus on in-depth cooperation and formally established a long-term friendly cooperative relationship. The two sides plan to sign a strategic cooperation framework agreement and establish a long-term communication and coordination mechanism; thereafter, they will implement specialized cooperation agreements one by one in subdivided fields such as agriculture, tourism and commerce, achieving resource sharing, complementary advantages and mutual benefit.

This exchange and study visit is not only an important practice for people-to-people friendly exchanges between China and Morocco, but also builds an efficient and pragmatic cooperation platform for the two places. In the next step, APECCM will continue to play its role as a bridge and link, actively connecting quality resources at home and abroad, steadily advancing the implementation of various cooperation efforts, and helping the Chinese overseas in Morocco broaden their development tracks.
